Fellowship After the
Grace Unity Conference

If you haven’t read:

Why Orlando?

…please do so now.

The city of Orlando was chosen intentionally because it is a vacation destination city and we are inviting people from all over the country to attend.

If you are thinking about staying for some fun and fellowship after the conference, that’s a good thing and we welcome you to come fellowship with us.

There are many things to do in this area, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Seaworld, Busch Gardens in Tampa, and just to the east of Orlando there are cruise ships just waiting to take you to the Bahamas.

This year we already have a group planning to go into the Disney parks. There might be other groups that form to go do other things also, but as of right now we just have a Disney World group.

Please check with our Conference Travel Agent, Louise Rumfello, and she will let you know if other groups form to go other places.

The beauty of this is that you can fellowship with the group or you can decide to go on your own, whatever floats your boat. The group is available if you desire fellow brethren to fellowship with during the day, or you can wander off and do things on your own and explore. You will have fun either way.

To get more information about the fellowship after the conference at the Disney parks, please contact our Travel Agent Extraordinaire:

Disney's All Star Resorts
Standard Rooms: $68 + tax = $76.84 per room, per night

Disney's Pop Century Resort
Standard Rooms: $77 + tax = $86.63 per room, per night

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside or Disney's Coronado Springs Resort
Preferred Rooms: $122 + tax = $137.25 per room, per night

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
Courtyard View Rooms: $214 + tax = $240.75 per room, per night
Standard View Rooms: $166 + tax = $186.75 per room, per night

She also can get park tickets at a discount rate, get you on the meal plan, book your flight, etc. You do not have to stay all week, just tell Louise how long you would like to stay and she will get you fixed up. But the longer you stay, the cheaper it gets per day to stay.

Just contact her. She can work something out for just about any budget. If you enjoy camping, Disney also has a wonderful 700 acre campground and it’s cheaper than the resort rooms. Just ask Louise for details.

After the conference is over, we will pack our bags and move on over to Walt Disney World. For those of you that fly into Orlando we can get a shuttle bus to take us over to Disney which is about 10 miles away.

My wife and I have been to Disney about a dozen times, so we consider ourselves semi-experts on the place, even though some people have been dozens and dozens of times.

We highly recommend that you stay on Disney property. We have done it both ways. We have stayed off of Disney property and on Disney property and staying on Disney property is definitely the way to go.

You might save a dollar or two on your room by staying off of Disney property but then you have the hassle of driving back and forth from your motel to Disney and then you have to pay for parking.

If you stay on Disney property you also qualify for their meal plan, which can save you a lot of money on meals. You also have free transportation for wherever you want to go on Disney property, plus you get to stay in the “Disney atmosphere” the whole length of your stay.

We used to stay off of Disney property just to save a nickel, but after we stayed on Disney property for the first time we realized it was definitely the way to go and we weren’t really saving anything anyway with having to buy parking passes and such.

Stay on Disney property. You won’t regret it. If you drive to Disney, you park your car when you get there and you never touch it again until you leave. Cool.

If you decide to stay for the whole week and get a 5 day park pass for Monday through Friday, you might want to pay an extra $15.00 or so and get you a 6 day pass instead.

For Sunday afternoon till into the evening you can lounge around the resort or go to Downtown Disney, but if you pay the few extra dollars for a 6 day pass you can go into the parks on Sunday and it will only cost you a few dollars more.

Come Monday the group will go into The Magic Kingdom Park. Tuesday the Epcot Park, Wednesday the Disney Hollywood Studios Park, Thursday the Animal Kingdom Park and Friday we hop around to whatever park floats our boat.

The time of year for this Disney vacation is the slowest week of the year for Disney so the park crowds will be at their very minimum. Most of the time you can walk right up to an attraction and go in with a minimum amount of waiting in line.

If you decide to tour with the group, there is no pressure to have to stay with the group. You can wander off at any time and go do what you want and meet back up with the group later if you want to. We can eat our meals together or separately; it doesn’t really matter. The Christian fellowship is available if you desire to have it. No pressure at all.

When you go to Disney you will be doing a lot of walking. Be prepared. We highly recommend buying a new pair of tennis shoes about 3 weeks before the trip and break them in before you go. Go walk the mall or something to get your legs used to walking.

So when was the last time you had a break? Isn’t it time?

Come join us for the Grace Unity Conference and stay for the Christian fellowship after the conference. It’s going to be a tremendous amount of fun and great fellowship!
